Michael Beier

Since September 2012, Michael Beier has been heading the Heinz Sielmann Trust as executive chairman. As trust manager he is in charge of CSR, is executor of the estate and compliance auditor. He previously worked as marketing, fundraising and trust manager as well as alumni representative at University Hildesheim Foundtion. He headed fundraising and sponsoring at Hamburg University. His cv includes work on the board of Stiftung Baukultur Weimar as well as management work at Architektenkammer Thüringen. He worked as head of Marketing and PR at Radio Antenne Thüringen and as Managing Director of Erfurt Chamber of Commerce.

Tim Boehme

Born 1966 in Flensburg, producer, director and cameraman Tim Oliver Boehme moved to the US at the age of 10 when his mother decided to emigrate to the US with him and his younger brother. After finishing school he studied ‘Broadcast Production’ at the University of Wisconsin. Having travelled the world ‘romance’ prompted him to return to Europe in 1992. He became a filmmaker dedicated to social and ecological matters. A father of two sons, he and his wife now live in a village close to Kiel.

Mi-Yong Brehm

After her studies at Heidelberg University, Mi-Yong Brehm began a radio internship in 2002 followed by several years of freelance work spanning print, radio and television work. In 2004 she joined Gero von Boehm’s film production company Interscience Film as a producer. She shared responsibilities for numerous productions including Terra-X documentaries “Unterwegs in der Weltgeschichte mit Hape Kerkeling” and “Zwischen den Fronten” featuring Peter Scholl-Latour. Since 2011, she has been working as producer, editor and author for Marco Polo Film AG.

Dr. Petra Löttker

Petra Löttker studied biology at WWU Münster with a focus on behavioural biology. For her doctoral thesis, she researched the behaviour of challitrichidae living in the wild of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest for a year. In 2008, she joined Christian Baumeister’s team at production company Light & Shadow for their three parts documentary “Mythos Amazonas”. Ever since she has been in charge of the organization as well as the scientific supervision of all their film projects and international co-productions. For more than 10 years she has made sure that Light & Shadow productions run smoothly be they film or large cross-border tv series.

Michael Packschies

A geographer by profession, Michael Packschies is a staunch environmentalist working for Eckernförde municipality for more than 30 years in charge of environmentally compatible town and landscape planning. He is responsible for environmental public relations activities. In that capacity he met up with his school pal Gerald Grote in 2004. On that occasion they first discussed the possibility of a wildlife film festival. Gerald Grote went on to become the first Green Screen festival director and Michael Packschies the interface between Eckernförde municipality and GREEN SCREEN. Michael dedicates a significant part of his personal time to the festival.

Julia Gläsker

After studying Culture and Media Management in Hamburg and an internship in unit management at ARD, Julia Gläsker joined WDR Cologne before moving to Radio Bremen eventually returning to NDR. Following that, she became head of public-access TV in Kiel. Her focus is on media skills and supporting young talents.

Dr. Angelika Sigl

Angelika Sigl can look back on a 30 yrs career as author and producer working continuously for various broadcasters (BR, MDR, WDR, SWR, ZDF, ARTE) and spanning more than 60 documentaries about science, nature and fauna as well as numerous reportages. For the past 3 years Angelika Sigl’s company Text und Bild Medienproduktion has been producing successful kids series “Paula/Anna und die wilden Tiere”, “Anna und die Haustiere”, “Anna und die wilden Lieder”, “Frag Anna” further kids series.

Karsten Wiesel

In 2000, Karsten Wiesel initiated Flensburg Short Film Days and has since been in charge of its eclectic programme. Following film studies at Media School, he has been making short films receiving a Schleswig-Holstein film award and a short film award from Schwerin arthouse Film Festival for his film “Hochbrücke Brunsbüttel”. Karsten Wiesel lives and works in Hamburg. Next to his work as film author and curator, he teaches at Europa University Flensburg and at Philipps University Marburg. He also runs media education projects for children and grown-ups at schools and cultural institutions.

Oliver Goetzl

Oliver Goetzl is a Hamburg based biologist and wildlife film producer (GULO FILM PRODUCTIONS) working as director, author and film editor. GULO documentaries focus predominantly on animal behaviour and on rare charismatic species and those that have never been filmed before. Oliver firmly believes that it is the admiration of their achievements in particular and the fascination of animals in general that provide an important basis for the willingness and endeavours to protect them and their habitats. GULO films have been successful at national and international festivals: They won around 300 awards such as “Best Film” – Green Screen 2018, “Best Animal Behaviour” – Green Screen 2015 and “Animal Behaviour Award” – Wildscreen 2012. Next to his own films and German cinema productions such as “Russland” and “Serengeti” Oliver has participated in major international productions, e.g. as field producer and additional cinematographer for the Disneynature feature film “Monkey Kingdom” and for prestigious landmark series such as BBC’s “Frozen Planet”. Oliver has been asked to act as a member of the jury at more than a dozen national and international film festival, a task that he thoroughly enjoys.

Heike Grebe

Born in 1986 on the very day of the huge Chernobyl disaster, Heike’s path has always been defined by the wish to “do things differently”. As a child she collected animals too slow to escape and “nursed” them lovingly. When finishing her studies of journalism and media communication in 2009 she did not realize that her love of animals would lead her to wildlife film. Not until 2011, when the production company Blue Planet Film assigned her to oversee the organization of a large wildlife film project on the Congo River, was her path cemented. Four years after its finalization she went freelance and together with a colleague founded the company “Flying Pangolin Film”.

Boas Schwarz

Boas Schwarz is producer and cinematographer for Altayfilm. He has been working on wildlife film for more than 10 year and travels widely to capture nature’s wonders on film.
